Short description: Project: The international exchange and cultural understanding
is important for every human being, this project is born from this philosophy,
one Long Term Volunteer is needed to work inside of one school helping with
activities with the local youngsters by participating in activities to promote
the cultural exchange and learning of the youngsters
Work: The volunteer will
work in activities to give English or French Classes to the local youngsters
of the school and the local population, and also to organize activities to
promote the interaction with the local people and the cultural interchange.
The volunteer will be supported by the local teachers of the school
Place: The
possible places of the volunteers are: Acahuato, Cahulote, Churumuco. Epitacio
Huerta, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Las Cruces, Manga de Cuimbo, Paracuaro, Penjamillo,
Senguio, Tzintzingareo. All these communities in Michoacan State
Hosting and
Food: Hosting and food are provided for the period of the project, the volunteer
will live with a family.
Vacations: The volunteer will have a vacation period
the last 2 weeks in March and 15 days in the month of July (the exact dates
will be given to the volunteers in the project place)
Pocket Money: THE VOLUNTEER
WILL NOT RECEIVE POCKET MONEY only the food and the hosting so the volunteer
should bring money to buy personal supplies and travel during the vacations
and weekends and so on
Fee: Each Long Term Volunteer has to pay a fee of 250
Euro that will be used for the training session and also the support of the
volunteer, to cover the administration and the travels to Morelia City to make
the middle and final evaluations and also to pay for the renewal of
the Visas in Mexico.
VERY IMPORTANT IS TO APPLY FOR A WORKING VISA”VISA
DE TRABAJO NO REMUNERADO” OR PRACTICES VISA “VISA DE PRACTICAS” AS
SOON AS YOU ARE ACCEPTED. VIVE MEXICO WILL SEND TO YOU AN INVITATION LETTER
AND YOU MUST GO TO ASK FOR A WORKING VISA OR PRACTICES VISA TO THE CLOSEST
MEXICAN EMBASSY. ANOTHER OPTION IS COMING TO MEXICO LIKE A TOURIST AND WHEN
YOUR VISA WILL EXPIRE YOU CAN GO TO INMIGRATION OFFICE IN MEXICO AND ASK FOR
AN EXTENSION VISA THE COST OF THIS IS 25 DOLLARS FOR A PERIOD APPROX. OF THREE
MONTHS IF YOU CHOOSE THIS OPTION PLEASE BE AWARE TO BRING THIS MONEY.
IMPORTANT REMARKS: NOTICE THAT IN VIVE LTV 13; THERE ARE 26 PLACES IN TOTAL AND VIVE LTV 17 HAS 32 PLACES IN TOTAL BUT THE VOLUNTEERS WILL BE HOSTED ONE IN EACH COMMUNITY AND IT WILL BE DESIGNATED DEPENDING ON THE EXPERIENCES AND CURRICULUM VITAE. THE PLACE WHERE THE VOLUNTEER WILL BE HOSTED WILL BE DESIGNATED ONCE THE VOLUNTEER HAS ARRIVED TO MEXICO.
